Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), which is an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes press freedom worldwide, recalled that 'two years ago today, on February 21, 2018, Slovak investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée were shot dead in their home. In the past two years, no one has been convicted in the case'.
CPJ added that on February 25, 2018, Slovak investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée, M?artina Kušnírová ?were found shot dead in their house in Velká Ma?a, some 50 kilometers from capital Bratislava, Slovakia, local media reported. The journalist was shot in the chest with a single bullet, and his fiancée was shot in the head, according to reports. Police later established they were murdered on February 21.
