Diaa Hadid, who covers Pakistan and Afghanistan for NPR News, has claimed on social media that 'at this point, Pakistan is probably quite vulnerable to cases of the new corona virus but its important to remember that it is not deadly for most people'. Hand washing and prudence, not panic, will help prevent the spread, she said.

She also revealed that Pakistan's patient zero had symptoms for 8 days before he was admitted to a hospital. 'He visited 3 cities in Iran - Qom, Mashhad & Tehran. He flew back to Pakistan via Karachi airport. He was part of a tour group. That leaves a trail that may well be impossible to identify', she added.
