Culture Minister Dr. Sadho presents award to Wahida ji in Mumbai
Minister for Culture Dr. Vijayalaxmi Sadho visited residence of famous cine actress Wahida Rehman in Mumbai and honoured her with the Kishore Kumar Samman of Madhya Pradesh government. She presented the award, which carries a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh, shawl-shriphal and plaque to Wahida Ji. Principal Secretary Shri Pankaj Raag was also present on the occasion.

The forest beauty of Madhya Pradesh still lures Wahida Rahman, the eminent actress of the cine world for more than three decades. While receiving the award from Dr. Sadho, Wahida ji recalled the dense forests and wildlife of Madhya Pradesh.
Remembering Kishore Kumar, she said that he had a wonderful acting and singing talent. Wahida ji also mentioned the programme, she attended with Late Kishore Kumar, to boost morale of the country's soldiers at Indian border.
Wahida Ji, who won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress twice, has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Filmfare and the National Film Award for Best Actress. Wahida Ji is a film personality, who has been honoured with the IIFA Award for Outstanding Contribution (Female) to the Indian cinema.
