ISRO launch vehicle blasts off, radar-imaging satellite main payload

ISRO's PSLV-C48 blasted off and is set to place RISAT-2BR1 and 9 commercial satellites in their respective orbits. The launch took place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. RISAT-2BR1 is a radar imaging earth observation satellite weighing about 628 kg and will enable India to access military grade pics of area of interest.
