Onion woes of Government of India, heres about it

Onion woes of the Government of India continues. This emerged when Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution told ANI news agency that around 18,000 tonnes of onion have been imported now, but even after all the efforts, only 2000 ton onion has been sold. We are providing onions at Rs. 22/kg now, he said. The situation was quite different untill a few weeks earlier when onion prices were making headlines and prices were touching upwards of Rs 150 per kilo.
