Voluntary Disclosure for non-compliant drones, India puts out scheme

India's Ministry of Civil Aviation is facilitating a one-time Voluntary Disclosure for possessing non-compliant drones. Information about non-compliant drones and its operators can be given at https://digitalsky.dgca.gov.in before 31 Jan 2020 without any hassle. After this, a Drone Acknowledgement Number (DAN) and an Ownership Acknowledgement Number (OAN) will be issued. This database will be used to process each case as per the regulations. However, the conditions of NPNT in existing CAR is not mandatory for disclosure. This will help in the validation of drone and operators in India under the drone regulations and will also make the airspace more secure. Operating a drone without DAN or OAN after Jan 31 will attract penal action.
