Shashi Shekhar, the CEO of Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan & All India Radio) India's Public Broadcaster, has come on social media to clarify that some media outlets are speculating that Prime Minister Modi will announce a lock down in his late evening address of today. This information is incorrect, he added. It will also create unnecessary panic in minds of people, which is the last thing we need in times like this, he explained. 

The Prime Minister of India is to address India via television today at 8 pm on the issue of Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
