Reacting to the New Indian Express report on Environment minister Gopal Rai moved a resolution in the Delhi Assembly against the implementation of the #NPR in the national capital and said if executed, it should be applied using the procedure of 2010, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He said that 'Kejriwal must stop thinking he can pull a fast one on us Muslims, Dalits & poor. Firstly, it does not matter if NPR is conducted in 2010 format or otherwise. What matters is that, once it’s conducted, NRC will also happen'.
He also added 'a resolution is not enough, especially one that is this weak. If you genuinely oppose NPR, then stay NPR. Alternatively, one can notify dates solely for Census & not for NPR exercise'.
