Thiruvanantpuram. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his remarks on Hindi Diwas on Saturday.
The Kerala CM said Amit Shah's Hindi push, in spite of the nationwide protest, needs to be seen as Sangh Parivar's signs to launch a new battlefield\.
Vijayan said the perception that only Hindi language can unite the country is completely wrong. He said the people in the South and Northeast don't speak Hindi.
He called Shah's Hindi pitch to make it their primary language an attempt to disown their mother tongue.
